About Me

Hi, I’m Mihaela Rupnik Cek, founder of TourSlove d.o.o. and a lifelong ambassador of Slovenian tourism. With a Master’s degree in tourism and deep family roots in the Soča Valley, you could say hospitality is in my DNA.

Inspired by my parents, pioneers of local tourism in Bovec, I’ve dedicated my life to sharing Slovenia’s natural beauty and cultural richness with travelers from around the world. Today, I live and work in Portorož, on a serene hilltop in Seča, overlooking the magical Sečovlje Salt Pans and the Adriatic Sea.

From managing the beloved BOVEC Holiday House to launching unique experiences under the MORjE brand, my passion lies in creating unforgettable adventures for curious explorers and nature lovers alike.
Together with my handpicked team of guides and animators, we offer authentic, interpretive tours that bring Slovenia’s landscapes, stories, and traditions to life.

Get to Know Me Better

I’ve had a passion for the stage since childhood, performing in drama groups and theatre workshops – largely inspired by my grandfather’s cousin, Ita Rina, Slovenia’s first film actress.
While studying tourism, I gained valuable experience in animation, guiding, and tourism organization.

I founded my company in April 2016. My greatest passions are traveling and exploring hidden gems. In my free time, I enjoy cycling, hiking, and swimming in the sea.

In December 2008, I became a mother to my daughter Anja, and in June 2019, my son Nik joined our family. We strive to spend as much quality time together as possible to support their growth and happiness.
