We’ll begin with a soothing walk along the Portorož seafront, passing the tennis courts, marina, and the boats of local fishermen in Fažana. We’ll make our way through the largest settlement in Piran Municipality, Lucija, and rise to the top of Lucan. The surrounding area is vibrant and captivating. From the top, we’ll enjoy views of the olive groves on the Lucan hill, the Seča Peninsula, and the Sečovlje Salt Pans in the background. To the other side, we’ll be surprised by the beautiful Strunjan with its salt pans, lagoon, and stunning landscapes. The panoramic views along this path are simply phenomenal.

We’ll take a break in an olive grove with a delightful Istrian Breakfast that includes Istrian bread, salami, pancetta, cow cheese, cottage cheese, jam, honey, dried fruits, seasonal vegetables, and herbal tea. We’ll enjoy the delicious food and receive vouchers for five local Istrian experiences. As we indulge, we’ll listen to Šavrinka, who will tell us local stories. Afterward, we’ll descend to Strunjan, pass through the tunnel of the former narrow-gauge railway, and return from the peaceful green Strunjan back to the lively, sunny Portorož. We’ll finish with a mini quiz about Istrian cuisine, and the winner will receive a prize for their next adventure.
