The Embrace of Šentjan Above Portorož

Our adventure begins with a peaceful stroll along Portorož beach. Then, we’ll hike through lush gardens up to Beli Križ, continuing towards Šentjan. The proximity of the sea and the view stretching to the Croatian coast give this trail its unique charm. From above, we’ll take in the diverse cultural landscapes surrounding us. We’ll admire the lively Portorož beach on one side and the serene Strunjan valley on the other. The ascent rewards us with exceptional views.

We’ll stop for a wine break at Bubola Farm, where we’ll taste local Istrian wines, including the well-known Refošk and Malvazija. We’ll guess which wine we prefer based on its taste and aroma. At the Boem Restaurant in Beli Križ, with a stunning view of Fiesa, we’ll try to identify the ingredients in a traditional Istrian soup—bobiče. The person who guesses all the ingredients will receive a prize for the next experience. We’ll return to Portorož via the Old Road.
